Hobbies

As most of you can tell from my history of work, I am a big arts enthusiast. From theatre to a museum, from an art gallery to a rock concert, my life is filled with arts and culture.

I was fortunate enough to have an opportunity to work with so many great arts organizations over the years and it has really made work feel more like play.

From working with the Ottawa Festivals over the past few months, I was able to indulge in a lot more diverse programing then I normally would, and because of that, I have really come to appreciate Ottawa’s diverse cultural community and how it embraces differences and Canada’s cultural mosaic. In all honesty, this summer has been so great working with the smaller cultural events and experiencing their commitment and support for one another.

Growing up in a very culturally diverse community in Ottawa’s west end, I truly know the importance of preserving and celebrating cultural differences here in Canada.

Other then that, as a mother, my hobbies include anything kid-friendly in Ottawa. I loved how the Ottawa Fringe Festival included children’s programming and the Ottawa International Children’s Festival is another favourite.

However, we do like to take advantage of the great outdoors and venture off to the local beaches or head over to Gatineau Park.

A day out at the park or a rollerblade down Ottawa’s bike paths are another favourite of ours.
